Polycentric urban development is a concept that is sometimes difficult to explain to the general urban user. The reason is linked to the fact that everybody can define a center by referring to personal experiences, knowledge, and background. Moreover, location and situation in which you ask "What is a center?" affect its definition. In addition, the answer would definitively depend on which type of person would ask this basic question. To show that these postulations are true, we made an experiment during Queensday, which is the most important public holiday in Holland.
